About me and my Blog

My photo
Mazlan Omar Chef
London, Central, United Kingdom
Hi, my name is Mazlan. I'm Malaysian living in London. I love both Malaysian and Western food and my latest passion is cake making. An odd combination you might think. Not really. I learned the art of classic Malay food from my mother who, in true Asian style, cooked organically by eye and taste and I did my professional training as a chef in the UK. To me the best of Malaysian food is the intense complex flavours of the main course and the best of Western food is the endless variety of cakes and desserts that can be created. So I’ll not only be posting classic Malay dishes but also cake recipes to inspire you!
